Profile
We are a leading manufacturer of asynchronous electric
motors in the power range from 20W to 2.2kW. All our motors
are custom-made. They are manufactured in production batches,
upon customer order.
We produce motors for a wide range of applications, from explosion-proof
motors for use in hazardous areas, over single-phase motors
with high starting torque, to motors for use in ventilation
and air-heating systems, and, in general, motors that are electrically
or mechanically particular.
We are selling our motors worldwide, directly from our Belgian
headquarters or through our agencies in Germany, Britain and
France. (Contact)
We employ about 50 people and we have a yearly production of
around 65 000 motors.

Design & testing
Our motors are defined in our engineering department to
meet the customer's requirements. We design and test the motors
to achieve maximum motor performance and efficiency. We are
equipped to perform full load testing in a wide range of voltage
and frequency conditions, and to perform on-site testing on
the customer's application.
The mechanical design is done in 3D CAD (Inventor and Mechanical
Desktop), allowing reduced design time and communication with
our customers and suppliers in the most efficient way.

Manufacturing
Our production facilities are located in Haacht, Belgium.
Our production know-how has been built up during a long history.
Today both the mechanical operations and the motor windings
are performed on numerically controlled machines, we also have
lamination punching facilities available.
At
every stage of the production, the motor parts are checked
with calibrated measuring equipment (ISO9001 quality system
applies) and after final assembly every motor is submitted
to a routine electrical test on an automated test bench.
We
use a tailor made, up-to-date ERP system to monitor production
planning, sales, purchasing, etc.

Quality assurance
Our quality system is certified to ISO9001 standards.
Our manufacturing process is certified towards the European
ATEX directive for the fabrication of explosion-proof motors,
and all motors are manufactured according to the CE machinery
safety directive and to the corresponding European standards.
An UL-approved motor insulation system is available and some
UL/CSA-approved motors are available.
A number of documents concerning our
quality assurance and related certificates can be downloaded
from the library.

Why choose a custom-made motor?
All our motors are custom-made. They are manufactured in
batches, on customer order, after being engineered by our experienced
engineering team to fit perfectly, electrically and mechanically,
into the customer's application.
There may be several reasons why to choose for a custom-made
motor.
Due to specific electrical or mechanical features needed, the
required motor may not be available as such on the market.
Secondly, opting for a custom-made motor may be the outcome
when the objective is to reduce the total cost of the customer's
machine or device.
Indeed, we will engineer our motor to have the right performances
and will provide it with the necessary mechanical features for
the most cost-effective assembly.
We have completed several projects in which this form of co-engineering
has led to important cost savings for our customers, through
reduction of the assembly time, combined with an integration
of machine parts into the motor.
